We're talkin baseball!!!

Ok so my fantasy team sucks the big fat one and didn't take long to drop to last place, stupid rotisserie.

I am excited about a big season coming up from the Yankees. I wont get into the team or on field stuff right now, lets let the season develop a bit, but I will get into the controversial new Stadium.

Basically a lot of Yankee fans are pretty pissed about a new stadium being built, "the house that Ruth built!!" they cry, but I say to them - shut up. There isn't a major sports team in the world that wouldn't KILL for a new stadium that'll be half as badass as the new Yankee Stadium.

The current stadium is a far cry from the house that Ruth built anyway, they remodeled the whole thing in the 70's and in fact, the new stadium will be modeled after the old one from an architectural standpoint. The current stadium is small and out of date and ill suited to serve the capacity it receives nightly.

Two things to be glad about the new stadium,

1. It isn't selling it's name as so many new stadiums do, it will still be called good old Yankee Stadium.
2. It is in the same spot! There were rumors of moving the stadium to a slew of new locations all over the tri-state area, we will still be the bronx bombers.

I for one am excited for the new stadium, the only question that remains is will it be known as the house that Jeter built, or the house that A-Rod built, only time will tell.

In entertainment news

The early to mid part of 2008 looks promising as far as movies go, here are 4 must sees in my expert opinion...watch movies now because come September the results of the writers strike will rear its ugly head in the movie industry.

First off, a movie thats already out in limited release, it's called In Bruges and stars Colin Farell and Ralph Fiennes and is hillarious. Basically two hitmen are hiding out in Bruges, Belgium, one is hired to kill the other, there are midgets and drugs and guns and hookers and hillarity ensues. Collin Farell is surprisingly good and Ralph Fiennes is not surprisingly good.

The next movie comes from the creator of Superbad and Knocked Up, Judd Apatow. It stars Jason Segel from How I Met Your Mother, possibly the funniest straight man around, as well as a cast of characters from other Apatow flicks, and new addition, and a favorite of internet nerds, Kristen Bell. It's Called Forgetting Sarah Marshall, enjoy!

The next movie comes from the same group, Apatow Productions, and looks like it could be the next Dumb and Dumber, an immature buddy movie that looks hill-arious. It stars Will Ferrel and John C. Rielly and is called Step Brothers, enjoy.

And finally, what may be the most anticipated movie of the year, Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, will hit theaters this summer. There's nothing to say about this movie that hasn't been said because it just looks awesome, everything a blockbuster movie should be. Shame about Heath Ledger, but he's definitely going to own this role. Plus Christian Bale may be the best leading man in Hollywood right now. My only complaint is replacing one annoying droopy faced bitch, Katie Holmes, with another, Maggie Gyllenhaal. Enjoy.

Duke loses, America rejoices, blogger = sad

Ok, ok, let's hear it...all the Duke haters rejoice I know everyone's thrilled about their early departure in March Madness.

Speaking of March Madness, how about all four 1 seeds being in the final four? How network tv is that, BORING. Worst of all is that secretary in your office who just picked the higher seeds to win all the games and is now in first place in the pool.

Oscar Turns 80, still doesn't receive social security

So last night's Oscar Ceremony went off pretty well, not too many surprises really except Ellen Page being 21 years old, and hot.

THE WINNERS:
Best Picture - No Country for Old Men
Best Director - Joel and Ethen Cohen
Best Screenplay - Diablo Cody for Juno
Best Actor - Daniel Day-Lewis for There Will be Blood
Best Actress - Marion Cotillard for La Vie en Rose
Best Supporting Actor - Javier Bardem for No Country for Old Men
Best Supporting Actress - Tilda Swinton for Michael Clayton

Clearly No Country was the big winner, and from what I hear of the other movies, rightfully so. Juno also went from being a "happy to be nominated" movie to a legit winner. George Clooney...well, fuck George Clooney, Michael Clayton sounds like a Wide Receiver name. PS. Tom Wilkinson is the new Brian Cox.

I'm F*cking Matt Damon/Ben Affleck, hillarious

So in case any of you were unaware, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman have been dating, who cares right? Anyway, in a brief spat of relevance the couple has released a set of dueling youtube-esque videos.

Sarah Silverman started it off with this gem about the Oscar winning screen writer and star of Stuck on You.

To which Jimmy responded with much ownage:

Personally i think they're pretty funny, check them out.

PS - if you only have time for one, the second one is funnier.

More hot futbol fuckers

Dude if these are the chicks that date guys that play soccer, I gotta fuckin learn how to play some soccer.

Abigail Clancy. Enjoy.

Sports = Sad face

So this is definitely the worst time of the year for most sports fans. Mid-season NBA drudgery, college basketball watering down all the highlight shows, and hockey getting no love. Golf has started up but is yet to have an event that matters, in which Mickelson will be oh so close, until he triple bogies 16 on Sunday and Tiger goes on an 8 birdie streak and displays some of the most emphatic fist pumping outside of the Jersey Shore.

March Madness will be upon us soon, but even that gets to be overkill.

Either way, baseball is hanging over us like Josh Beckett's gut over the spandex waist band of his gym shorts. (LOLJocks)

Smell that fresh cut grass, dirt, leather, and pine tar and let the jabberjaw chit chat infield chatter begin. Heeyyyyy whadaya say now whadaya say now lets see a steeerike hereee nah!!!

Love it. Also, I found this Barry Bonds rookie card.

Gordie Howe Hat Trick

So hockey is on the up and up in America, ok not really but it should be. The league is finally starting to recover from the strike and recession in talent with some legitimate young stars emerging. Guys like Alexander Ovechkin, Evengi Malkin, and of course Sid the Kid Crosby, are bringing a new athleticism and skill set to the league. Time to get excited.

The two best teams by the looks of it right now have go to the be Red Wings and the Devils. Look for them to meet up in the Finals for a rematch of the exciting 1995 upset cup victory for the Devs. The new Prudential center is starting to fill up nicely too.

Roger Clemens Eats Pieces of shit like you for Breakfast

Roger Clemens (left)

So for the time being it seems like we can be through with hearing about Dodgey Rodgey (shut up, its funny) and the HGH/steroid/MacNamee bullshit scandal.

This charade has made pretty much everyone involved, including the United States Congressional Hearing Committee, look like total fuckwads.

The big winner in this is Andy Pettite who has officially been granted a second life. Here's a guarantee for you, in Dandy Andy's (shut up thats funny too) first start at Yankee Stadium, he will get a standing ovation. New Yorkers are very forgiving (see, Kevin Brown, Carl Pavano, Randy Johnson, Hideki Irabu, Kyle Farnsworth, Etc.)

Good morning world, it's been a while - here are some hot chicks

Welcome back faithful blog-hogs, thanks for being patient.

As a reward here are several hot pictures, of hot chicks.

We'll start with British babe Gemma Atkinson, I can only think of two reasons why she matters...

Next up, continuing our salute to Great Britain, Keeley Hazell...I think these chicks fuck soccer players or something....

Finally I'll bring it back to the good old US of A and have a look at all American hottie Rachel Bilson, and star of the critically acclaimed movie Jumper, out now!!!

McNamee lays down the mushroom stampage

Apparently this Roger Clemens thing will not go away. Rumor has it that Brian McNamee saved physical evidence with Clemens' DNA on it (syringes, gauze, etc.). This would be a big step in making Clemens shit his pants and start back tracking on some of that denying.

"Did I say I didn't do HGH? I meant that I did do HGH, although I never knowingly denied it."

More or less, look for this to drag out until March Madness or Spygate takes center stage, also look for no one to care, and way to many Roger Cossack appearances on the WWL.

Also, is it just me or doesn't the government and congress and senators have better things to do than worry about baseball and football? Like isn't there a war, a recession and an election going on this year? Thats a triple whammie.

I think steroids and spygate ought to take a backseat, its a waste of fucking tax dollars and resources. If these people have so much free time to take on something like this, then why do we need them? Just something to think about.
